Water Tower painting

February 19, 2026

The well and water tower located by the I-59 overpass in Carriere will be taken out of service Friday February 20, 2026 in order to allow the tank to have necessary maintenance and repairs carried out, which will include, sandblasting and painting the water tower.
We will be routing water from another source while work is in progress. This will cause a reversal of flow in some areas south of the intersection of Hwy 11 and White Chapel Rd. Customers may get discolored water initially which will clear usually within a day. Sand that got pumped into the system from a faulty casing 2 years ago that has settled within the system may move to locations that we cannot anticipate. We do not expect to have lowered pressures or water shortages. Customers having discolored water, sand, or lowered pressure should notify our office at 601-798-3103. You may call this number anytime you have an issue with your water. There is a person available after hours and on weekends at this same number, if you happen to get voice mail, please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while work is ongoing.
